Psa 113:1Praise ye Yahuah. Praise, O ye servants of Yahuah, praise the name of Yahuah.

Some people say that The Hebrew word for the name of God that is written as the LORD is YHWH and that It was changed out of respect by the followers of Yah who did not feel worthy to write his full name and pronounce (or potentially mispronounce) his true name out of reverence.

The scriptures themselves encourage the followers of Yahuah to use His name when calling on Him. Psalms 105 : 1 1¶O give thanks unto Yahuah; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. In Hosea 2:16 the scripture says "“And it shall be at that day,” saith Yahuah, “that thou shalt call Me ‘Ishi’ [that is, My husband], and shalt call Me no more ‘Baali’ [that is, My Lord]. He said that this would happen when those who are in covenant with him return to him.

When Yah made a covenant with Yasharel it was a marriage. He revealed his name to Yasharel for the first time so that they can know him. He gave us his name much like how a husband gives his bride his name.

Exodus 3

13 And Mosheh said unto ELOHIYM, Behold, when I come unto the children of Yashar'el, and shall say unto them, The ELOHIYM of your fathers has sent me unto you and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

14 And ELOHIYM said unto El-Mosheh, EHAYAH ASHER EHAYAH: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Yashar'el, EHAYAH has sent me unto you.

15 And ELOHAI said moreover unto El-Mosheh, Thus shall you say unto the children of Yashar'el, YAHUAH ELOHAI of your fathers, the ELOHIYM of Avraham, the ELOHAI of Yitschaq, and the ELOHAI of Ya'aqov, has sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my mention unto all generations. ***

Up until that point the Isrealites and their forefathers called Yah Elohim or El. The cananites and other nations called their gods the same thing. El and Elohim are titles that mean god. Sometimes the Isrealites would show specificity when referring to Yahuah by using titles like El Shaddai which means God Almighty or El Elyon which means The Most High God. After the cutting of the covenant and the revalation of Yah's name Israel used the name Yahuah and other nations new His name through their dealings with Israel.

The reasons that I have mentioned above are some of the reasons why I choose to use The Most High's name Yahuah or Yah. So friends and family and even strangers; when I use the name Yahuah please don't get freaked out. I am talking about the same God that you read about in your bible. If you need more proof look in a Reverse Interlinear bible or look up H3068 in Strong's Concordinance.

This is not meant to attack or cause debate. This is just me sharing my studies with love. You should always research information that you receive.

1Th 5:21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

1Jo 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from Yah. For there are many false prophets in the world.
